Neurofeedback or neurotherapy

...

Neurofeedback, also known as neurotherapy or EEG biofeedback, is a therapeutic intervention that uses real-time monitoring of brainwave activity to teach self-regulation of brain function. It is based on the principle that individuals can learn to change their brain activity patterns through practice and feedback. Neurofeedback has been explored as a potential therapy for a variety of conditions, including autism. During neurofeedback sessions, electrodes are placed on the scalp to measure brainwave activity. The individual engages in a task or game on a computer that provides visual or auditory feedback based on their brain activity. The goal is to encourage desired brainwave patterns and reduce undesired ones. The research on neurofeedback for autism is still emerging, and while there are promising findings, more rigorous studies are needed to establish its efficacy definitively. There is currently no good-quality evidence that neurofeedback helps autistic children or adults. Neurofeedback isn’t recommended as a treatment for speech and language difficulties.
