Water ionization

...

Water ionization involves the process of using an ionizer or water ionizer to alter the pH of water, producing what is claimed to be "alkaline" or "acidic" water. Proponents of water ionization suggest that drinking alkaline water can provide various health benefits, including improvements in symptoms associated with autism. However, scientific evidence supporting the use of water ionization specifically for autism is lacking. There is a lack of scientific research specifically examining the effects of water ionization or alkaline water on autism. Most studies focus on general health benefits of alkaline water rather than its impact on autism spectrum disorders.

Research on alkaline water suggests that while it may alter the pH of the body and potentially affect hydration, there is no substantial evidence supporting its effectiveness in treating or improving autism symptoms. There is no robust evidence that water ionization or alkaline water has specific benefits for autism. The claims made by proponents are not supported by rigorous scientific research. Drinking excessive amounts of alkaline water may lead to an imbalance in the body's natural pH levels, potentially causing health issues such as metabolic alkalosis.

Water ionizers can be expensive, and the cost of purchasing and maintaining such devices may not be justified by the lack of evidence supporting their effectiveness for autism.
