Integrated Listening System program

...

The Integrated Listening System program is a sensory-based intervention combining sound therapy, movement exercises, and visual stimuli. It is marketed for improving focus, sensory processing, emotional regulation, and cognitive skills, often targeting individuals with autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties. While it claims to stimulate brain function and enhance neuroplasticity, the program lacks robust scientific evidence to support its use as an effective treatment for autism or its core symptoms. It is similar to auditory integration training and the Tomatis method. The person undergoing the therapy uses headphones to listen to modified classical music while doing multisensory movement exercises. A review of all types of auditory integration therapies found that there’s no evidence that sound therapies are effective as therapies for autistic children.
