Communication skills training

Difficulties in communication can relate to problems with understanding and expressing language, impairments in hearing, speech or vocal functions, and also to psychological issues. Training in communication skills aims to enable a person to communicate with others via spoken, written or other forms of language through, for example, communication partner training. Communication skills training includes advice on appropriate communication strategies and is practised in one-to-one or group format.
