Assessment of movement functions

Movement functions comprise functions such as motor reflex functions, voluntary and involuntary movement functions or gait pattern. The assessment of movement functions (including initial screening to determine the need for comprehensive assessment) uses observation, physical examination and standardized tests to determine the presence and/or severity of impairments in movement functions, ascertain their impact on functioning, and inform care planning, including the need for a referral or follow-up.
