Parent-mediated therapy

...

In parent-mediated therapy, parents are trained by professionals to apply therapeutic techniques directly with their child. This approach ensures consistent reinforcement and practice throughout the day, benefiting children with autism or those at risk but too young for a formal diagnosis.

Parent-mediated therapies include:

- Joint attention therapy
- Social communication therapy
- Behavioral therapy

Research suggests that these therapies can improve communication skills and social interactions in children. However, more evidence is needed to fully understand their effectiveness.
